T-SHIRT QUILT/MEMORY QUILT INFORMATION AND PRICING
- All t-shirt quilts are made by me, from start to finish. I
provide all of the supplies (batting, backing, thread, sashing if requested,
borders, if requested, fusible stabilizer, and binding). All of my materials are
quality, Kona 100% cotton materials. The batting is Warm and Natural 80/20.
Your quilt is a true quilt, not a blanket – it will have three layers: the
t-shirt top, the quality batting, and the backing in 100% cotton fabric, and
will be quilted on a longarm sewing machine with Aurifil Egyptian 100% cotton thread,
some of the best thread on the market!
- The price of your quilt is based on the use of standard cotton t-shirts and does not include other personal items you want included in the quilt (such as ball caps, unusually-shaped sewable items, like baby onesies, pleated shirts or button-downs) - these extra components take a lot of extra time and skill, and pricing will be adjusted accordingly
- I use a longarm free-motion quilting machine (guided by hand, not computer), and all t-shirt quilt prices include an all-over meander quilt pattern (your t-shirt quilt will not be tied). If you want an edge-to-edge design (flowers, geometric shapes, feathers, leaves) there is an added charge of 2 cents per square inch.
- You can choose your own colors for sashing and borders and purchase the material yourself, or you can leave it to me to make professional choices for a balanced, eye-catching quilt. I will work with you to make sure your color choices compliment the t-shirts and overall design of the quilt
- Your quilt price comes with sashing (no corner stones), and a 3" border (or you can leave the borders off, your choice)
- Backing fabric choices are: black, navy blue, dark green, grey, or red, but special requests can also be made
- Lightweight fusible interfacing is used to stabilize the shirts before cutting to size
- T-shirts are typically trimmed anywhere between 12" to 15" square, depending on the graphic, which provides the base block for sashing, if requested. Prices will be adjusted if toddler/baby shirts/clothing need to be added to your quilt. There is a $20 charge per t-shirt/block for building up smaller graphics or combining multiple t-shirt graphics into one t-shirt block
- Your finished quilt will be made with experience and skill
- Your quilt will be machine bound with a double layer binding
in 100% cotton fabric for a beautiful, professional finish- I use a longarm free-motion quilting machine (guided by hand, not computer), and all t-shirt quilt prices include an all-over meander quilt pattern (your t-shirt quilt will not be tied). - Turn-around time is between 4 - 8 weeks, or more, depending on the season (Christmas and Graduation are very busy - get your order in as soon as you know when you need the quilt completed!)
- There will be an extra charge for items that are not t-shirts - I can work with just about any item that can be sewn, but if it isn't a t-shirt and requires extra handling or cutting, there will be an added charge
- Longarm services of all-over medium to meander is 2 cents per square in, with a $50 minimum (you provide backing and batting). Important: You will need to have a 4" extra overhang of backing and batting in order for me to quilt it on my longarm frame
- Binding service if you supply the material is $0.15 per square inch. If supplying your own, it needs to be 2 1/2" wide, and folded and ironed in half.
- I require a $150 deposit for quilts $350 and
up (unless you are an existing customer)- We will work together, one-on-one, to made sure you are happy with your quilt, every step of the way

PRICING - Collage Style Quilts
Collage Style Quilts require more thought, planning, and skill than block style quilts, but they are really eye-catching works of art! Keep in mind you may need (depending on your shirt sizes) twice as many shirts to get your quilt to your desired size - this is because of the lack of extra fabric from the sashing. We will work together to come up with a great layout and design for your completed collage style t-shirt quilt!

Pictured below is an example of a collage style quilt. There are no borders or sashing, and the blocks are puzzled together based on how many shirts were provided and a layout that makes the most sense:
This quilt has no sashing and is more of a strip-block style collage.
These are standard t-shirt quilts with sashing between each block.
